We’ve upgraded the studio

Over the summer we enhanced the soundproofing of our shoot space. If you thought it was good before, you should see it now …or should I say come and listen.

We sprayed the ceiling with a new layer of monoglass. This material, made in large part out of recycled material, is a sound absorbent layer that minimizes echoes.
The loading bay door has been replaced with a dense, soundproof door.
High density foam panels have been attached to the concrete walls to muffle the room and reduce echo – the effect is like walking through the forest after a heavy snowfall.

We’re still located in a quiet neighbourhood away from airports and railway tracks, so after these new improvements we challenge you to find a studio near downtown Vancouver that can rival our exceptional audio quality.

HealthSpotTV focusses on all the latest technology, procedures, expertise and stories within the Health industry.

Breakfree Productions have been producing all the latest videos for HealthSpotTV and we are learning quite a lot about health along the way. Invisible braces, non-obtrusive varicose vein removal and progressive surgery techniques. These videos are broadcast on local television, play on www.healthspottv.com and get posted on various social networking sites.

Given that the videos are broadcast on television and often also play on High Definition screens in waiting rooms, we have ensured a high production quality. These videos are great examples to see our new High Definition productions and the Invisalign video in particular is perfect to see the effect of shooting with a shallow depth of field. The production quality is progressive, raises the profile of the facilities and physicians and are engaging to watch. A clinic should look clean and up to date …which I feel we accomplish.

We work to ensure objective coverage by following a patient through the procedure and then speak to the physician about the history, diagnosis and treatment options.

We’ve gone High Definition

Breakfree productions has recently added the Canon 5D MarkII SLR camera to the mix. We have been extremely happy with the camera’s depth of field capabilities and while not ideal for every production, it is outstanding for a wide range of shoots. We also still regularly shoot on the Panasonic HVX 200 and have also added a 35mm adapter to this camera in order to use the same depth of field lenses we use with the Canon 5D MarkII.

RED cam – for our content that plays at cinema theaters or video which requires specific colour enhancements or will incorporate computer graphics we now use the RED cam. The bottom line is that Breakfree Productions is able to produce cinematic, commercial quality videos in High Definition at an affordable cost to our clients.
